Piracy is similar to shoplifting because you are still doing something unethical and illegal. Something wrong. But they are also different, since shoplifting is when you take the item and "steal" it. Piracy is not stealing, it's copying. It is wrong to copy a CD or DVD for a friend because it's simply illegal. And because in some way you are not paying to the person/company who came up with that DVD or CD.

Piracy is similar to shoplighting because you are stealing another's person thing or object. your taking something that had never belong to you or wasn't for your's to begin with. it is wrong to copy a CD or DVD because it is agaisnt the law. It is illegal and you do have the rights to copy someone intellectual property.

piracy is similar to shoplifting because your stealing someones ideas/thoughts/work. you shouldnt steal no ones work because you can get in serious trouble, might even get sued if the person has there work copyrighted.

piracy is similar to shoplifting because shoplifting is when u steal something from a store that u didn't pay for.And piracy is when u copy something of someones on the internet and u didn't get permission from the person to do so.And the reason why they are similar is because they are both a form of stealing because for shoplifting u didn't get permission to take and piracy didn't get permission to do so either..

A) Piracy is similar to shoplifting, because when you download and share copyrighted material without permission you are accessing this material without paying for it, therefore you are stealing it.

Piracy is similar to shoplifting because you are stealing intellectual property. To copy a CD or a DVD is the same as someone walking into the store and taking the the CD or DVD without paying. The company that copyrights the material doesn't receive payment in either case so therefor it's stealing.

Piracy is similar to shoplifting because you are taking something that is not free without paying for it. It is wrong to copy a CD or DVD for a friend because you are taking away from the owners profit. I think the only reason people pirate CD's and other things is because you are less likely to get caught and punishment is lighter than if you were to get caught shoplifting tangible items.

What I think is that Piracy and Shoplifting are similar because your stealing something from the internet and something from a store. You can go to jail for just downloading something easy but can get you in major trouble Depends.

It is stealing somebody else's product without paying for it. It is wrong because the owner took the time out to make the product and probably put their own money into it without getting any intended compensation back.

a.) Piracy is similar to shoplifting because, they both have to do with taking the producer's idea and not paying for it or asking for permission.

Well of you're not paying for it then you're taking without the other person making profit. so yeah it's still stealing.
